Research goal

The research goal of EAVISE is implementing advanced image processing applications on embedded systems, starting from state-of-the-art techniques and algorithms, both self-developed or coming from our university partners. With specific hardware, a specific algorithm will have unique properties, such as a faster execution time, a lower energy footprint, and/or a lower cost and production price.

Implementing these techniques on embedded platforms is a first step towards advanced consumer applications. For the implementation on multiple platforms such as reconfigurable logic (FPGAs), microcontroller and microprocessor systems, and digital signal processors, EAVISE applies advanced design methodologies.

EAVISE is a research cell which is part of research group EmSD (Embedded Systems Design), at Campus De Nayer of Lessius University College. EAVISE is associated with VISICS, the computer vision research group of the K.U.Leuven.
